Terms of use & disclaimer

Version 1

Important: Coin Heritage is a display and discussion platform for coin collectors only. It is not a shop, broker, auction house, appraiser or authentication service.

1. What this site is

Coin Heritage lets registered collectors show photos and details of their coins, organise them by country and year, comment on each other's coins, and display coins for a limited time in the members-only Exchange Corner. Visitors who are not registered can browse public coins.

2. No responsibility for sales, trades or agreements

The site does not sell, buy, hold, ship or insure any coin, and does not process any payment.
Any sale, purchase, exchange, gift or other agreement between members is made directly between those members, outside the site, at their own risk and under their own responsibility.
The site, its owners and administrators are not a party to any such agreement and accept no legal liability for it, including for non-payment, non-delivery, loss, damage, delay, misrepresentation or any dispute.
Members are responsible for complying with all laws that apply to them, including laws on the export, import and trade of antiquities and cultural property.

3. No responsibility for authenticity or prices

The site does not verify or guarantee that any coin is genuine. Fake, replica, altered or misattributed coins may appear. Always obtain an independent expert opinion before relying on a coin's authenticity.
All prices and values shown on the site — owners' estimates, "similar coins" estimates and AI evaluations — are rough indications only. They are not appraisals, offers or guarantees, and may be inaccurate.
AI evaluations are generated automatically from photos and the details entered, can be wrong, and must not be treated as professional advice.

4. Your account and content

You must give accurate registration details and keep your password private.
You must own, or have the right to publish, the photos you upload. Do not upload content that is illegal, offensive, misleading or that infringes others' rights.
You keep ownership of your photos. By uploading them you allow the site to display them on the site.
Be respectful in comments. Contact details you choose to show are shared at your own risk.
Administrators may hide or remove content and suspend accounts that break these terms, at their discretion.

5. Exchange Corner (members only)

Coins displayed in the Exchange Corner are visible only to registered members and only for the period the owner chooses. A listing is an announcement by its owner, not an offer by the site. Any contact and any agreement that follow happen outside the site, as set out in section 2.

6. Availability and changes

The site is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We may change these terms; when we do, you will be asked to accept the new version before continuing to use member features.

7. Contact

To report a problem, use the "Report" link on any coin or comment.
